Birken, Devine, & D’Arcy are situated North of Pemberton in the Lillooet Country.

Birken is found along Gates Lake, approximately mid-way along the Pemberton Pass, which connects the Pemberton Valley to the Fraser Canyon. Devine is a small recreational area with few year-round residents, located north of Birken. D’Arcy, or Nequatque or N’Quatqua in the St’at’imcets (Lillooet) language, is partly a recreational and resource community as well as the residential area of the N’Quatqua First Nation.
